ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A campaign to rebrand Albany wins gold.
We are Albany and Made in Albany videos won top honors from the International economic development council.
Albany Dougherty E-D-C submitted the videos in categories for communities with populations between 25 thousand and 200 thousand people.
EDC President Justin Strickland said he's happy to be part of an effort to help the community rediscover what makes Albany special.
"Albany sells itself through the video and for us to know that those videos are award winning makes us feel like the community is award winning and its something to be proud of," Justin Strickland, Pres. ADEDC.
Strickland says this award brings more notoriety to the area in hopes of making Albany a destination for tourists and businesses.
