PELHAM, GA (WALB) - Police say a woman who was reported missing has been taken to the hospital after she was found Tuesday morning.
Officials said 53-year-old Barbara Ann Williams was first reported missing on Monday by family members.
Investigators reported she was found in an area behind Huddle House on U.S. 19 near the intersection of Progress Avenue in Pelham on Tuesday. They said officers received a call around 8:30 a.m. from a man who told them he found Williams in a pond behind the restaurant.
Her clothes were wet, but officials said Williams had no obvious signs of injuries.
Pelham Police Department's Chief Investigator Rod Williams said, "She was disoriented, but she had no physical signs of injury about her. She was assessed by the Emergency Medical Services and transported to the Mitchell County Hospital for further assessment."
There was no immediate word on her condition. Police said they do not believe any foul play was involved.
The Huddle House in Pelham was about half a mile from Williams' home, according to police.
