Lanterns lighted up the sky in Albany Friday night to honor those who have died from Lymphoma and Leukemia.
About 40-students with the Southwest Georgia Home-schooled Association's Key Club participated in "Light the Night" at Darton College to raise awareness and money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
“My sister died seven years ago from undiagnosed acute leukemia cancer. So for the past six years my family has been involved with light the night. And our key club has been hosting this for the last four years,” said Emma Twiggs.
The students hoped to raise more than $3,000 dollars.
