The Marine Corps Logistics Base is discontinuing its newspaper.
Colonel Don Davis says they'll use their website and social media to get out information.
, which was first published in 1956, comes out every Thursday. Davis believes the move will save manpower and allow the base to enhance its social media presence.
"We've been looking at it for a while because the means of communication is constantly evolving. So one of the things we're looking at is how do we communicate. I only have so many many folks that can do so many things," said Col. Davis.
MCLB was one of 12 out of 28 Marine Corps bases that published a hard copy newspaper.
