CORDELE, GA (WALB) - A Valdosta man is behind bars in Crisp County after a bank teller sprang into action.
Ashburn Police arrested Johnny Williams Wednesday afternoon at the Colony Bank.
Police say he was traveling with a woman, who claims he was holding her against her will.
Authorities say they went into the bank and she handed the teller a note asking her to call police because she was being threatened.
The case is under investigation, and Williams hasn't been charged yet.
He was taken to jail in Crisp County where he was wanted for misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
