VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta Police said Friday that a carjacking victim isn't cooperating with their investigation.
They said 31 year-old Edward Mincey and 20 year-old Sharia Joseph were in Mincey's car around 3 p.m. Thursday at the Hudson Docket Housing Complex when two men forced them out of the car at gunpoint.
"They were approached by two african American males. One of 'em had a handgun, they told 'em to get out of the car and told 'em to give 'em all their property. They were able to take off runnin' and get away, but the offenders took the car," explained Valdosta Police Department Lieutenant Aaron Kirk.
The car was found a few blocks away a short time later, but Mincey refused to let police take the car and examine it for evidence.
