ALBANY, GA (WALB) - You may feel the Christmas spirit if you walk through downtown Albany. Wednesday afternoon two Water, Gas and Light bucket truck crews started putting up holiday lights and decorations around Downtown.
The city orders new bulbs to replace old ones every year.
Officials say the work is going smoothly... and they hope to have all the lights up by Monday.
"It's the best time, and I think you see people driving around, walking, looking at the lights. It's pretty. It just shows off our city a little bit more," said Mari Wright of Albany WG&L.
Crews will begin putting up the city Christmas Tree downtown the Monday after Thanksgiving.
The Christmas Tree lights will be turned on the night of the parade, Saturday December 6th.
