THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomasville Police are investigating surveillance video of two suspects who tried to steal frozen food from one of Thomasville's most popular restaurants.

Police said an employee of Jonah's Fish and Grits was closing up the restaurant around midnight Tuesday night, when he walked in on two men stuffing garbage bags full of food.

Police said the suspects bolted right after they were spotted by the worker.

Major Wade Glover said, “He did not see any weapons, but he did not approach them. He feared for his life, so he kind of stood back and called 911 and let officers respond.”

Police described the suspects as black males, possibly in their mid-twenties.
