ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Georgia Democrat Congressman Sanford Bishop says he is ready to work with Republicans, after they increased their majority in the House and won the majority in the Senate.
Bishop was re-elected for his 12th term in Congress Tuesday night.
He says he is ready to be more bi-partisan in the 114th Congress. "When it's said and done, the challenges that our country faces are not Republican challenges or Democrat challenges. They are American challenges. The solution will be American solutions," he said.
Bishop is already a member of a Congressional group called "No Labels," which he said is dedicated to putting aside partisanship.
