Two arrested after Douglas store burned to the ground

DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - 24 year old Andrew Lee Todd was arrested and charged with Burglary in the second degree last week, after suspicious fires were extinguished by the fire department.

On Tuesday, Douglas officers then arrested 29 year old Steven Bradley Howard for Arson and Burglary as well. Howard is in the Coffee Co. Jail on unrelated charges, and is a person of interest in other ongoing

On October 2, Lott Hardware on West Bryan Street, was destroyed by fire.

The fire had been intentionally set after the business was burglarized.

Investigators were able to locate two antique rifles, one pistol, and numerous antique and collectible knives connected to this crime.

More charges are expected, and anyone with any information that would assist in this case is asked to contact the Douglas Police Department at 912-384-2222 or the Tips Line at 912-260-3600.
