ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Folks are still voting in all 28 precincts throughout Dougherty County. Elections supervisor Ginger Nickerson who says so far it's been a busy day, which runs until 7:00 and beyond, for election workers.

You have to vote at your designated polling location, you cannot vote at the downtown office on Pine Avenue. Nickerson says this election usually draws a lot of voters and today's good weather helped. As long as you're in line by 7:00, you will be allowed to cast your ballot.

It's always good to have voters turnout on election day and of course we have great weather that's not going to hinder anyone coming to the polls and we want to encourage everyone to come out and cast that ballot if they have not already done so," said Nickerson.

There are six acceptable forms of ID you can use to vote, including a Georgia driver's license, even if its expired, or a passport, or Military ID.

Also a new form of identification they're now accepting is a concealed handgun license, so if you have one of those ,it can be used at the polls for identification.
