Murder suspect announced in Albany arson

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police want the public's help to find a murder suspect wanted in an arson case.

Samuel Bryant, 41, has warrants for felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Investigators said Bryant is connected to a fire that was intentionally set on Saturday at an apartment on Clark Avenue.

The body of Cordell Brown was found inside that apartment.

Officials said the fire started in the front bedroom of the home, which was heavily damaged by flames. Brown's body was found in the living room.

Firefighters also said the unit was considered vacant, and had no power.

Anyone with information about Bryant or his location is urged to call police.
