Perdue, Deal fly into Albany

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - U.S. Senate candidate David Perdue predicts he will win his election and help Republicans take control of the Senate.

Perdue teamed up with Governor Nathan Deal for a day-before-the-election fly-around that included a stop at Southwest Georgia Regional Airport.

36 Senate seats are up for grabs Tuesday, and Republicans need a net gain of six to win the majority in the Senate.

Perdue says his campaign is gaining momentum in the final days.

"We need a change, we need an outside perspective. Someone that is not from inside the system and for that reason alone, I'm more than gratified with what I am hearing and really encouraged with our prospects Tuesday night," said David Perdue.

Perdue is facing Democrat Michelle Nunn and Libertarian Amanda Swafford in the race to replace retiring Senator Saxby Chambliss.
