ASHBURN, GA (WALB) - Ashburn Police want answers from two people after a domestic violence call escalated to a point where they called a SWAT team for help.
Police Chief Joe Saxon said a domestic violence call came in around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officers responded to a home at 1006 Pineknot Rd.
After several attempts to make contact with residents inside, they called for assistance from the Crisp and Turner County Sheriff's office.
They set up a perimeter around the home, and eventually a SWAT team was called to go inside the house.
A man, a woman, and her two small children were found inside.
Chief Saxon said the man had a gun.
The names of those involved were not released Sunday night.
Investigators believe the man and woman are in a relationship, but do not think they are married.
The man and woman were taken to the Ashburn Police Department for questioning.
Charges are pending in the case.
