ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police continue to patrol on Halloween night, hoping to prevent any Halloween crime.

Earlier Friday night, they were visible in neighborhoods monitoring families trick or treating. They're also watching out for vandalism and car break-ins. They want you to watch out too.

"They're just making sure that people are being aware of their surroundings,” said Phyllis Banks, APD Media Manager. “We have entering auto issues, so we're making sure we're keeping an eye on that. Most importantly we need people to partner with us and make sure they are watching their surroundings, make sure that if they see any suspicious activity that they contact the Albany Police Department."

Police encourage you to call 911 if you see any suspicious activity.
