ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Korean War memorial is becoming a reality in Albany.
Crews installed a new monument to the Korean War at Veterans Park Friday morning.
It was funded by the American Legion Post 30 and other veterans groups.
The monument cost $9,300 to make.
After crews finish erecting the monument, they will cover it up and host a formal unveiling on November 11th at 11 a.m.
Organizers plan to work on a Gulf War memorial in the future.
