ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Democrats are making a push in Southwest Georgia with the election five days away.
State party chair Dubose Porter visited Democratic headquarters in downtown Albany this afternoon to urge voters to choose Democrats on Tuesday.
There are currently no Democrats holding statewide office, but party leaders are optimistic Jason Carter and Michelle Nunn in the races for Governor and Senate can change that.
Democrats have always been about education, healthcare, transportation and the environment. What Georgia needs more than anything is leadership on those issues? They are democratic issues where the needs are so desperate in Georgia and we have the right people in leadership to move us forward on them," said Dubose Porter.
Remember tomorrow is the last day for early voting before Election Day on Tuesday.
