Our community will be safer tomorrow night thanks to steps taken by the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles.
They will require all paroled sex offenders to be under increased supervision on Halloween.
The parolees will be under dusk to dawn curfew or will be required to report to a specified location on Friday.
Parole officers will also conduct compliance sweeps during the evening hours in many parts of the state.
Residence searches will also be done to make sure sex offenders on parole have their outside lights turned off, don't have outdoor Halloween decorations and don't answer the door for anyone except law enforcement.
Let's do our part to keep kids safe, too.
Be careful when driving tomorrow night, watch out for children and if you see anything suspicious, report it to police.
