DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - Dougherty County voters took full advantage of the Sunday's early voting.
People lined the walls at the Riverfront Resource Center this afternoon and some even had to wait outside for space.
This is the first time the county has allowed voting on a Sunday.
Most voters were happy with the new change because it made voting more convenient.
"There are so many activities going on. Our calendars are full. So this is convenient. I left church and came directly here. It's just a blessing to be here to cast my ballot, said Edna Stokes, Dougherty County resident.
If you missed today's voting on Sunday, you have until Friday to get your early ballots in.
