ALBANY, GA (WALB) - There was a huge turnout for Albany State University's Homecoming parade Saturday. Folks lined the route along Pine Avenue as the parade marched down the street
Several school bands and community organization marched before this year's homecoming court.
ASU President Art Dunning says the parade celebrates both homecoming, and Albany. "This is not just a celebration of the people who are passionate about the place but also for the people of this community, where we bring so much to this community."
Mayor Dorothy Hubbard helped lead this morning's parade. Today's events and game wrapped up homecoming week. This year's homecoming theme is "Still we Rise", remembering the flood of 94.
