ALBANY, GA (WALB) - While most of the attention is on the races for United States Senate and Governor in Georgia this fall, there is also a closely watched race for state Attorney General.
Democrat challenger Greg Hecht campaigned in Albany Friday where he continues to criticize his opponent Attorney General Sam Olens for reportedly asking for a campaign donation from a state senator who at the time was under investigation.
Hecht also outlined his child protection plan that calls for creating a special prosecution unit.
Hecht "We will also investigate at risk files to try to make sure repeated reporting of abuse and neglect do not go unheeded."
Hecht has served in the Georgia State Senate and worked as an assistant district attorney.
The election is November 4th.
