TERRELL CO., GA (WALB) - A Terrell County elementary school received a big check today to help get new technology for their school.
Cooper Carver Elementary school was presented a check from Monsanto Fund for a 10 thousand dollar America's Farmers Grow Rural Education grant.
The school is using the money to purchase computers for the elementary students.
"This day in modern technology, you have to have the technology to compete with all the other schools and compete worldwide," said Terrell County Superintendent Robert Aaron. "The computers we have here will do just that."
This is the third year Terrell County Schools have received the grant after being recommended by a local farmer.
The past two winnings were used for laptops for the teachers and other technology.
