Organizers fire up for Big Pine Music Fest

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The first Big Pine Music Festival will be kicking off in Albany. It's 2 days filled with over 40 bands and family fun .Dozens

of vendors will be in attendance, including arts and crafts corners for kids and pop-up bars for adults. 

Threeforty Creative Group owner and organizer, Justin Andrews, says they have provided an array of artists, from soul to country to alternative rock.  They say they wanted to meet everyone's individual interest, some of the acts include: John Anderson, The Bo-Henry Band and Chris Stapleton.

"So many musicians that are from here that have made it, so many regional musicians that are so good, We go all over the country and there's nothing like southwest Georgia musicians.," Andrews said. 

And it doesn't stop there, at the end of each show night, DJs will be brought out for after party festivities. 

"These guys play some of the biggest festivals in the world and here we're bringing them to little bitty Albany, Georgia. And that's our thank you to this community and what they've done for us so far," Andrews said. 

They encourage people to set up tents if they want to stay overnight, RV's are welcome as well. The festival opens Friday at 4 p.m. tickets are $30 for the day, weekend passes are $50, kids are free under 48".
