LEE CO., GA (WALB) - A number of Lee County students got a chance to hear from a large group of colleges today. The school held a college fair after class with as many as 50 colleges and universities in attendance.
Principal Kevin Dowling says the number of Lee County students opting to further their education has remained steady over the years.
"Whether it is to go to UGA or Georgia Tech, one of the big schools," Dowling said. "Or whether it's to go to Valdosta State or whether its to go to Darton or Albany Tech but they want to go to the next level. They just don't want to graduate high school and go to work."
Dowling says there's an increasing number of students looking to attend college outside of Georgia.
