Elementary students caught with marijuana

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two students were caught with marijuana at Jackson Heights Elementary School Thursday, according to officials with the Dougherty County School System.

The two 10-year-old students were not named, and officials said the amount of marijuana was less than an ounce, in a bag.

Jackson Heights Elementary School is located on East 2nd Avenue in Albany, and educates students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

The elementary school is one of 14 elementary schools in Dougherty County.
