Bullet fired into convenience store

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Investigators say Tuesday morning about 1:30, a bullet was fired through the front door of the Kangaroo Express in the 1500 block of South Mock Road, at the corner of Moultrie Road.

The store was closed, so no one was hurt. But Investigators now are trying to find out why.

"Nothing was reported missing at this time. And no entry was made into the store. Other than the bullet going through the window," said Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick, Dougherty Co. Police.

Managers of the store say they have been robbed once, burglarized twice in the last 15 months, and now had this bullet fired into their business.

If you have any information, call the Dougherty County Police or CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
