THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomasville's James R. ‘Bobby' Hines Jail and Justice Center is about to undergo a $2 million makeover.
Folks came out to the center Tuesday morning for the Groundbreaking Ceremony.
The renovation project plans to add 8,000 square feet to the building.
Additional investigation rooms, lab space, as well as storage space for files will be added.
County Commissioner Wiley Grady said, “They're very excited about this because, right now, they're sort of on top of each other in their offices. So, this will give them much more space. “
The renovation will begin in November and is scheduled to be completed in a year.
