MITCHELL CO., GA (WALB) - The Mitchell Co. Sheriff's Office, Georgia State Patrol, and Pleasant Grove Fire Rescue responded to a wreck involving two cars on Highway 112 around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
According to Trooper Stewart Parker, a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling south on GA 112 when a 2014 Chevy Malibu traveling north on 112 attempted to turn left on 93, but failed to yield and collided.
The wreck blocked two southbound lanes on 112 for over an hour causing minor traffic jam.
The driver of the Pathfinder was taken to Mitchell County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Malibu was cited on scene for failing to yield.
Traffic has been cleared.
