ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dr. Jacquelyn Grant, Head of the Southern Health District, Dr. Steve Kitchen and Victor Garcia, of Phoebe Putney, gave the Dougherty County Commission an update on the Ebola situation Monday morning.
They say they have formed an Ebola response and are working to protect their health workforce who are at the highest risk to get Ebola.
They say early detection is the best way to protect people. They are asking people admitted questions about travel. They have isolation rooms at Phoebe Main and one other hospital, and they also have protective gear.
They are adopting the same guidelines as Emory hospital in Atlanta.
