ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dozens of volunteers are making a difference in the community towards the fight to end hunger.
More than 70 volunteers from local churches, schools and retail corporations packed more than 600 boxes of food and juices for families in need at the Second Harvest of South Georgia Food Bank in Albany. It's part of their third annual "Make A Difference Day."
"I feel as a citizens of Albany we should all try and do something to make a difference, so come out and support if you can," said Brashuanna Briley, Target Volunteer.
Each box feeds a family of four for seven days. Volunteers from Mount Zion Baptist Church, Lake Park Elementary School, Albany Christian, Target and First Baptist of Leesburg participated in "Make A Difference Day."
