CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Other hospitals across South Georgia are also making sure they're prepared for Ebola.
Officials at Crisp Regional say they've been in contact with the CDC about handling an Ebola patient, should the need arise. Several patients have come in recently with flu symptoms.
Determining if that patient has had contact with someone who has travelled to Africa is their number one priority.
"We are meeting every day to update our policies and protocols to be sure that we are ready should an Ebola patient come to our medical department," said Dr. Sheila Southerland, the Head of the Emergency Room at Crisp Regional Hospital.
Southerland encourages you to get a flu shot and stay home if you're sick.
