Albany man leaves $7K in restaurant booth

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Bobby Davis, 23, told Albany Police that he left the Red Lobster on North Slappey Blvd. Wednesday, without a huge wad of cash he walked in with.

Driving down the street, he realized that he did not have the $7,300 in cash that he took into the building. He says he called the restaurant and was told there was no cash left in the booth, near the kitchen.

Albany Police officers came and made a report, which indicates that Davis lives on Swift Street, and is unemployed.

Red Lobster management referred our inquiries to their corporate offices. Erica Ettori, Company Spokesperson, said: "Upon hearing of the incident, the management team in Albany displayed our core value of integrity and immediately contacted the local police. The team is continuing to partner with the local police and given this is an active case, it's best to direct any other questions to the authorities."

We called Bobby Davis, but our call dropped, and we haven't been able to re-connect with him since.

The investigation is still active.
