A team with the Georgia Department of Economic Development wrapped up their tour around Albany Thursday.
The group visited the Art Park downtown Thursday morning before heading to the Albany Civil Rights Institute and Mars.
Commissioner Chris Carr says their goal is to increase jobs and investment across the state. "It allows us to get out, reestablish relationships with our local partners but also learn and see first hand what's going on in our different regions and the ways that we can partner and really support the economic opportunities."
The Georgia Department of Economic Development group says they hope to bring resources and experience to benefit Albany's economic development. They're flying around the state, to tour commerce and tourism in 12 different regions.
