Multiple guns stolen in Valdosta armed robbery

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Valdosta Police are investigating a potential armed robbery that happened Wednesday afternoon.

According to the report from VPD Thursday morning, officers were called to the Perimeter Pantry located at 4491 Inner Perimeter road around 2:45 p.m. for a report of a robbery that happened about an hour earlier in the 2300 block of Chattooga Drive.

21 year-old Kyle Olehafen told officers that he had two pistols stolen from him, one worth $650 and the other worth $480. He also reported a wallet, some cards, and $1,250 in cash stolen as well.

"The victim told us he was visiting a friend in the 2300 block of Chattooga Drive when the suspect, an African American male, came up to him, pulled a handgun, took his wallet and also he had a couple of guns in his vehicle that the offender took," explained Valdosta Police department Lieutenant Aaron Kirk.

According to the report, there were two witnesses. No one was injured during the robbery. Detectives are speaking with a person of interest, but as of 5 p.m. Thursday no arrests had been made.
