ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Agriculture are teaming up to help farmers and hunters.
The two agencies are launching "Hunters Helping Farmers" to attack the wild hog problem.
Hogs tear up fields across Georgia and cut into farmers' profits.
State officials say linking up the two agencies will be a great help.
We have the contact directly with the producers," said Department of Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black. "DNR has the direct contact with hunters. So why not identify those who have problems and those who might be willing to help in the hunting community and bring that info together?"
