WORTH CO., GA (WALB) - The Georgia Peanut Festival will take over the streets of Sylvester, Saturday, October 18th.
The 51st annual festival will take place at Jeffords Park with the parade starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The Farmers of the Year will serve as Grand Marshals in the parade.
It's one of the town's biggest events of the year.
"There are new vendors, arts and craft. There is also entertainment. Distinguished Men of Brass a local hometown flavor to that group. They were on America's Got Talent and a country western singer will be here," said Chuck Hobby, Food Safety Manager for Peter Pan.
The peanut festival is way to say thank you to local farmers.
This year's theme is 'Peanuts Worth Diggin'.
