Rainy day wreck update on people, dogs

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - We have an update on a weather-related crash that sent two people to the hospital and two dogs to a shelter Tuesday when we were under numerous weather alerts.

84-year-old Ban McGee is now in good condition at Phoebe Putney. He told them he didn't see a car coming on the Liberty Expressway Tuesday afternoon when it was raining.

He pulled his GMC pickup truck from Nelms Road into the path of 19-year-old Charmane Wilson's Saturn.

McGee is charged with failure to yield.

Two dogs, Sandy and Buddy, were inside his pickup, and they are okay.

The Albany Humane Society kept the dogs for the night, but have been returned to their owner.
