TERRELL CO., GA (WALB) -
Pumpkin growers in South Georgia are hoping for more sunny weather after all the rain Tuesday. They're ready for sunshine and picking out their pumpkins.
Mark's Melon Patch Owner Mark Daniel says they're hoping for more dry, cool weather so they can harvest the rest of their crops and keep business steady.
"We haven't picked probably half of them yet, that we have in the fields. So we have a lot left to go and the weather is suppose to be good for a long time and so that's what we're looking forward to," he said.
Daniel says overall they've had a great crop his year.
This year Mark's Melon Patch has farm animals for the children. They'll have their night hay rides starting next Wednesday through Saturday.
