Worth County is WALB's newest Team of the Week.
The Rams put on an offensive showcase against Bainbridge, winning 48-28. It's impressive especially because the Bearcats averaged 13 points against through their first six games.
Head Coach Jason Tone was very pleased with his team's effort against the qualify opponent.
"Offensively we knew it would be difficult to move the football on them," Tone said. "The kids just got together and played as a unit and it was good to see that."
The win was their second straight since a decisive loss on the road at Cairo. While no coach likes to see additions to the loss column, Tone said the defeat has helped the team on their current run.
"I think Cairo was a wake up call," Tone said. "They are a very good football team and they did a good number on us. We've just got back to the fundamentals offensively and defensively and its paying off."
The Rams are now 2-0 in the sub region. Worth County will travel to Albany on Saturday to play against Westover.
