Rain, speed blamed for rollover wreck

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - The Georgia State Patrol says a Sumter County woman sustained minor injuries-- after her vehicle rolled three times into a ditch.

GSP says Susan Sprieght was driving too fast for rainy conditions south on US 19 just before 9:00AM.

Sprieght then hydroplaned, and lost control of her vehicle, before slamming into a rock on the side of the road, and rolling over.

GSP Trooper Fretwell says Sprieght walked away from the accident with only minor injuries.

She was taken to Phoebe Sumter Hospital in Americus for treatment.
