THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Georgia's public and technical colleges are working together to make it easier for prospective students to go back to school.
"Go Back. Move Ahead." is the state's new initiative aimed at Georgian's who did not finish college to return and earn a degree.
By 2020, more than 60 percent of jobs in Georgia will require some type of post secondary degree.
Southwest Georgia Technical College President Dr. Craig Wentworth said this flexible program will encourage students of all ages.
Dr. Wentworth said, "We want students coming back to our colleges so that they can earn a degree, a certificate, or a diploma, and try to go out and get those good paying jobs.”
The program offers online courses to students who do not live near the colleges.
