ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Jason Carter rallies in Albany a day before early voting starts.
Dozens of supporters held up their Jason Carter posters and waved their American flags at the rally in downtown Albany. Carter told his supporters that if elected Governor he would be the Governor for the entire state and not just Atlanta. Carter says proper funding for education and bringing jobs to rural Georgia is some of his top priorities.
"I believe there's durable good jobs out there in rural Georgia, in processing the distribution of agriculture, in new ways of generating energy," said Jason Carter, (D) Gubernatorial Candidate.
"Better paying jobs, the poverty issue that remains on the table so to speak down here in South Georgia," said Charles Johnson, Carter Supporter and Lee County Democratic Party.
Carter will face off with Republican Governor Nathan Deal in the November 4th election. Early voting kicks off in Albany on Monday.
