ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Folks came out to hear some live music and show their support for Anchorage Inc. on Saturday night at Byne Memorial Baptist Church.
Anchorfest is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year that helps Anchorage, a faith based, drug treatment facility, keep their doors opened.
Chairman Carroll Harper says the program helps people from all over Southwest Georgia and surrounding states.
“Its a 16-week program, and its faith-based, and we get no federal or state monies so its all through donations, through your donations,” says Anchorage Chairman Carroll Harper.
Harper says they plan to host a pheasant shoot fundraiser in Lee County in December.
