THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A Thomasville gallery's own secret garden has caught the attention of Southern Living Magazine.

The Different Drummer Gallery Owner Ron Ernst said he can't take full responsibility for the foundation of the garden.

But he definitely worked hard to enhance what was there when he moved to the building in 2005.

A freelance photographer for Southern Living was in town shopping when she found this hidden masterpiece.

Ernst said, “She wandered into my shop, saw the garden, saw the shop, asked for permission to send some photos to Southern Living, and I gave her permission.  Next thing I knew, I had an appointment with Southern Living for a photo shoot.”

Ernst said the photos should be in the magazine's March or April issue.

He said his mother, who had the green thumb in the family, would be very proud.
