THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - The Thomasville Aviation Club is expecting a record-breaking turnout this weekend for its 47th Annual Fly-In.
Pilots from all over the southeast have been flying into the Thomasville Regional Airport since Friday morning.
They're expecting over 350 antique and collector's aircraft.
Thomasville Aviation Club President Irv NeSmith said the event is like an extended family reunion and hopes more newcomers will attend.
NeSmith said, “Actually, the beautiful weather is what's exciting me. This means that people are coming. When we have this kind of weather, they will be here.”
The event will go on through Sunday.
Visitors will be able to check out the interior of vintage planes, while kids enjoy contests and games.
