VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta State University is trying to show their appreciation for the military.

Active duty military members and their immediate family, along with military veterans, can get into Saturday's football game for free. The game starts at 2 p.m., and there will also be a cookout for military members.

"We're gonna have a cookout here in front of the American Legion," said Therssea Boyd, Director of Communication at VSU. "We ask those active duty and retired military and their families to come join us for hamburgers and hot dogs at the cookout. Then, they can just walk right across the street and go into the game and watch a great, exciting game."

You will need to present your military I.D. in order to be granted the free admission.
