If you're looking to add a furry friend to your family, an adopt-a-thon is being held this weekend.
The Lee County animal shelter will be set up at Tift Park in Albany from 9 am to 1 pm Saturday, October 11.
These puppies, four dogs, cats and kittens all need loving homes. All the animals have been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated.
"This is something that they want to do to try to promote our shelter and try to promote the animals to try to find homes for them. Because we just don't want the other thing to happen, so we try our best to try to find homes for them if possible," said Mike Sistrunk, the Lee County Public Works Director.
The adoption fees run from $25 to $122.
This is the first time the Lee County shelter is holding an event at Tift Park and they're hoping for a good turnout.
Again, the event is this Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
