South Georgia flyers emboldened by ebola screenings

On Wednesday, Hartsfield Jackson International began the process to help prevent the spread of the ebola virus. It is one of five airports in the country that receive 94 percent of travelers coming from the ebola outbreak zone of west Africa.

Everyone flying in and out of Southwest Georgia Regional Airport in Albany passes through Atlanta. One passenger who was heading to Atlanta said she supports the tougher precautions.

"It's not going to stop my travel because I can't just stop traveling because of something," said Dawson native Rodzilla Toomer. "There is going to be something all the time. We just have to be safe and know how to handle it."

The tougher screenings will go into place at JFK airport in New York Saturday and in Atlanta, Newark, Washington-Dulles and Chicago-O'Hare next week.
