THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) - Volunteers at the Thomas County Public Library are getting ready for their biggest Literacy Fair ever.
They prepared gift bags for participants.
There will be 20 vendors at the fair to help educated people on financial and medical literacy, as well.
Public Library Director Nancy Tillinghast said, “We just need to get everybody up to the same speed and be able to read and understand. Because they're going to be our leaders of our world. And we want them to know what's going on.”
The Literacy Fair will begin next Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in front of the library and will include games, contests, and performances.
