ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A city program to help Albany area small businesses is one step closer to becoming a reality.
After a final approval from the city commission this month, the Small Business Program can kick off. The group plans to provide small business owners help by supplying resources and referrals.
Members of the Small Business Program say it's important the owners have a place to go to learn about growing and sustaining their companies.
"They need to know that we care about them and that we will partner with them because the chief thing they need is capital and you've got to have capital and to know we have ways to direct them how to do it," said Theresa Jackson, Small Business Manager.
The program will be headquartered in room 260 in the Government Center downtown. The group hopes to have an open house for the program later this month.
